On Friday 12 June the DO Tarragona officially opened the seventeenth edition of this essential event for lovers of wine and did the ceremony for the awards contest bottled wines of DO Tarragona. It took place in the gardens of the Metropol Theatre in the presence of representatives of the wineries, authorities and the general public.<\/p>\n
This contest was made several weeks ago by a blind tasting at the Faculty of Oenology of the URV, among winemakers, journalists and sommellers. Our 2014 Merlot wine came won the first prize of the Young Red. Awards like this make us feel satisfied with a job well done and motivates us to move forward with our projects.<\/p>\n
The other winners were Vincent Mas Goat Camp, Census Wines, Wine of Adernats-null, Janine Rodony\u00e0 Vineyard, Winery Mas Bella Masmolets, Bodegas Union Reus Winery 9+ La Nou de Gaia and Winery Mas Button’s saddlebag. We want to congratulate all of them.<\/p>\n
The fair where we were present with a stand shared with Calaf Magriny\u00e0 Caves was a success of participation. The public in general was very interested in tasting our wines, particularly young red merlot wine awards, serving 764 total tastings at the fair.<\/p>\n
The elaboration of Mojirog\u00eds also had to watch the crowds. A mojito made with our wine Rogier liked that. We believe it was a good bet for an aperitif and to boost our stand at this time which is generally weak public.<\/p>\n
