On Thursday June 2nd was held the ceremony awards XXIII Contest of bottled wines from the DO Tarragona. The Merlot Suner went awarded first prize in the category of wine aged in wood.<\/p>\n
The blind tasting of about 90 wines presented, took place a few weeks ago at the Faculty of Oenology of the URV with a jury of twenty people led by Montse Nadal, Professor of Oenology of the URV. The awards are divided into nine categories, have been distributed among 11 wineries D.O. Tarragona.<\/p>\n
The ceremony, held at the Shed 1, was chaired by the president of the DO Tarragona, Josep Llu\u00eds yellow, which was accompanied by Joan Besora, development director of the Port of Tarragona; Elvira Ferrando, first deputy mayor of Tarragona; Oscar Perez, government delegate of the Government; councilors and other representatives of the Government and representatives of the wineries in Tarragona, in addition to representatives of the jury and members of the Regulatory Council of the DO Tarragona.<\/p>\n
